The story of Kuulas began over a hundred years ago when the main building of the former Tammisto farm was built, and apple trees were planted in its garden. In the spring of 2021, a beautiful 50-seat terrace was constructed on the south-facing backyard, right next to the apple orchard.
At the heart of our terrace restaurant is a charcoal grill, where we prepare relaxed yet high-quality dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Under the apple trees, you can spread out a traditional rag rug and enjoy treats from Katri Tätilä’s Coffee Buffet, sip on a high-quality cocktail, or indulge in our famous picnic, which you can order in advance.
The atmosphere is set with old Finnish schlager music from the 1940s to the 1960s, the aroma of the charcoal grill, and sheep grazing at the edge of the garden, hoping for a scratch behind the ears.
We are committed to carefully selected, immersive experiences in everything we do—whether it’s a restaurant chair, a coffee cup, or background music. Every detail comes together to create a unique atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.
In case of rain, our guests are welcomed into the beautiful and cozy indoor spaces of our 100-year-old manor.
Please note that we do not host private events.
