In need of some peace and quiet, picturesque ocean views and simple, rugged charm?
Hylkeenkari is a small rocky island in Rymättylä a few minutes from the mainland by boat. Here you can escape all the noise and hassle of the world, but still reach all local amenities and interesting sights quickly. The bigger cottage (about 30 m²) has a gas stove, a fridge, an alcove for sleeping and a traditional wooden sauna where you can heat up water. No need to boil any seawater though, as the sauna has plumbing and a municipal water tap.
The smaller cottage has two beds in it. An outhouse can be found in a small shed. The sofa bed in the bigger cottage can be folded out into a 140 cm bed, making the whole island fit 5 people in total. There’s a seating/bbq area outside. All electric appliances are powered by solar energy.
Hylkeenkari has to be booked for minimum of two nights. The island is available for booking only during the summer season between May and August.
